SUSAN BOURGERIE, MA, LP

Susan Bourgerie is an experienced psychotherapist and the co-founder of Loring Psychotherapy & Mindfulness Center in Minneapolis, MN. Susan was part of the team that developed and delivered the Resilience Training Program offered at the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing between 2006 and 2012.  She now facilitates Pathways to Joy and a variety of other courses through Partners in Resilience, and has a private practice in psychotherapy at Loring Psychotherapy & Mindfulness Center.

Susan approaches treatment of depression, anxiety, and other stress-related problems from an integrative, whole-person perspective, working with individuals, couples, and groups. Susan has practiced Vipassana and Zen meditation for 15 years, and has trained with Jon Kabat-Zinn to deliver the nationally recognized Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program.  In her efforts to integrate Buddhist psychology and meditation practice into her work, she has studied with a variety of Buddhist psychotherapists and meditation teachers including Tara Brach, John Welwood, Pema Chodron, and Thich Nhat Hanh.

She is committed to increasing awareness of the life-sustaining and enhancing benefits of a mindful lifestyle to all who are interested in achieving a greater sense of peace and well-being.
